Charity run

Last Saturday I took part in the 5km Morun charity race. This was a great experience as it allowed me to break a generally less active schedule and go outside as well as participate in events for charity. I managed to complete the run in 31 minutes and 16 seconds which I feel is fairly good seeing as I don't exercise often. As this was for charity, doing this raised awareness as well as raised money for the cause as some of my family decided to donate to the cause after seeing that I had run the whole distance. Doing the run was very enjoyable and also shows to employers that I am willing to do selfless tasks and have determination when faced with difficult challenges and things that I may not be used to or have practised for in comparison to a majority of other people who also joined in the charity run.

Voluntary Work

I have been doing voluntary work at an artisan store within my town. I have been doing this for around a year. This shows that I have a strong dedication to doing various jobs and tasks without the need of any third party motivation and to work towards a goal that is entirely centred on the progression and success of the place I was working at. I worked at the register which requires fast thinking for anyone who may ask questions for either finding things or general information about the town, store and the surrounding area. Working at the till also means that I had to be good at handling money and be able to do mental maths quickly and without mistake.

Learning 3D

I have recently decided upon myself to start to learn how to 3D model on a computer. I feel that this would be very useful for the career path that I want to take related to games design. I also feel as though I can dedicate myself to learning the programs and eventually producing things that would be of decent quality in time. I am very fascinated in learning 3D modelling as I have a large interest in fantasy designs and art and so learning this would make me able to express this love that I have for the fantasy genre and show off a creative spark and twist on designs as well as find various concepts online that I can work off and create. Learning and understanding this will be very useful if I want to obtain a career in games design as if I get good at designing to the point where I can produce very high quality models, I can put these inside of a portfolio of sorts and request a job in a company that has a job open for modellers.
